Bree Becomes a Mother

NEW LITTER

So, it has been awhile and Bree has now become a mother to three daughters.

She was taken back to her breeder and bred to Gr. CH. Abbotsford Lochiel.

On Nov. 12, 2015 she gave birth to three very pretty girls.

I named them Grace, Faith and Hope.

Hope was my pick of the litter.  She was special as soon as she came out.  She had a little crooked back foot and I was concerned it would be permanent but I worked with it every day and it strengthened up and straightened out.  We chauked it up to just the way she was positioned in the womb and being as they were extra large girls figured she was just crowded.  Here are newborn pics of them and a pic of Hope and her bad foot.

I was concerned and so was the vet about little Hope's foot, but time and patience found her to be completely normal by the time she was two weeks old.

Perhaps me working with her foot by picking her up and masaging it daily did the trick or just her walking and using it did it too but by me working with it every day gave us a special bond.  I had to make a video of her at about four weeks of age that told the story of the Great Escape.  She became my favorite because of that incident.  Wish I could have kept her but....all three went back to Bree's breeder, Sonia Carringer, at Abbotsford Shelties.  And the best news of all.....Sonia kept her.

Here is a video of the Great Escape and more pics of the girls just before they went back to Sonia.
