My Boys Go To Dog Shows

TRIP GETS HIS RN

9/18/09

Trip and I decided to enter and show at a local show here in Columbus, IN.

We also had to go and give support to one of our students we had been working with for a few months.

Trip showed in his class of 12 and received another first place with a score of 98. I was back to normal with my knee problems and were working at our normal speed again. No forging this time thank goodness and Trip was on top of things as well. He was great and finished with a bang.

NEWS FLASH!!!!!

10/24/09

I had Trip entered in GLTC's show in Simpsonville, KY the weekend of Oct. 24 and 25th. Our plan was to finish our RA title which we needed one score towards to finish.

We scored an 89 and earned fourth place to finish our title and I was pleased with that but Trip did not work as well as he had worked in the past. So I decided to go ahead and move him up the next day anyway knowing there was a good chance he would not work well and qualify.

The course was not that hard and he jumped the jump first time he was told so I was happy with that. But his 270 turn to the left was really rough and instead of getting back he did a couple spins in place.

There were a few bad sits as well and for some reason he got too far ahead of me going to the “one step to the right” sign and I had to call him back and approach it again for a 3 pt deduction for a do over.

Then he just was not heeling as well as he usually does so we ended up with a not too good score but still enough to move ourselves up to the Excellent A class the next day.

Way to go Trip and I really was proud of him even though our score was not too great.

TRIP FINISHES HIS RE

Trip's first leg earned him a second place with a score of 93.

Second leg was also a second place with a score of 90.

He finished with a first place at his school where he graduated classes one year prior to beginning his carreer in Rally Obedience.

Way to go Buddy!!!

The second picture shows his jumping form.

TRIP EARNS CD TITLE

Trip has now finished his CD title.  His first two legs were

earned at the KCCI show in Columbus, IN and he is pictured here

finishing his third leg at Beech Grove, IN on Sat. Oct. 2, 2010.

I did not think we would make it this far with Trip's auto immune problems,

but with it in remission, we managed to squeek another title in.

I am very proud of this little guy.  His first two legs earned him second place

both days.
