Abbotsford Trip Through Time

Bree came to live with us on November 1st. 2014.  We had just lost our two dogs in mid Oct. of the few weeks before and I was seeking another companion for our last remaining boy, Geordi.

I phoned Geordi's breeder in Seymour, IL and she had three older dogs available.  An older spayed 3 yr old female that had a bit of an off foot but was sound and two nine month old pups from the same litter.  The male I was interested in as I wanted another male but the female was going to be a better fit for Geordi.

Unfortunately the young female was the one I wanted after seeing all three.  She was immediately appealing to me as she came around faster and was of a moderate size of 14.5 ins tall.  Gorgeous sable and white I fast was convinced she was the one.   But the breeder, Sonia Carringer, was keeping her for breeding.  She told me I could take her if I agreed to breed her once to male of her choice for the litter to come back to her.  She would pay for all her genetic testing and for the stud service.  Well, I agreed and we took her home.

Interesting thing about her parentage is that her father is from two champions.  Ch. Abbotsford Annot Lyle is his dam and Am. Gr. Ch. and Can. Ch. Kensil's Irish Cream is his sire.  Her sire, Ch. Abbotsford Red Gauntlet, won his championship at 9 mos. of age.  Pictured below are her sire and grand sire.

Bree's dam, Adair Keifort Color O Friendship is full sister to another dog, Am. Gr. Ch. Adair Sequence who was bred to Bree's sire, Val.  A son born to this litter, Am. Gr. Ch. and Can. Ch. Abbotsford Lochiel, finished his championship at age 9 mos too.  He is an awesome dog and I hear that his son finished at only 8 mos. of age.  All these surpurb dogs are Sable and Whites and have a marvolous temperament as my Bree does.

Here is a picture of Cameron, Bree's half brother on the sire's side and first cousin to her on the dam's side.  Talk is we may end up mating Bree to Cameron's son that just finished his Championship.  Maybe.......

Bree is an awesome girl!  She is bonded tightly to my boys and loves us dearly.  She is easy to train and was housebroken right away within a few days of having her here.  She has a unique personality and is an easy keeper.  She turned one year old on Jan. 14th. and is doing well.  Here are a few pics of her here at home.

Can't help but love the way this dog sleeps.  She has no shame or shy bones about her.  Check this one out and the one of her Frog position imitation:

I do think this girl is going to be a lot of fun over the years to come!  Stay tuned for news and fun things from Miss Bree.  By the way: her registered name is Abbotsford Trip Through Time.
